Charity & Sponsorships
At Offaly Civil, giving back is woven into the way we work. We’re committed to supporting the clubs, charities, and community groups that strengthen our region just as much as the infrastructure we build.
Noosa Yacht & Rowing Club
The first of four race weekends has begun for the Offaly Civil Engineering Junior Race Series at Noosa Yacht & Rowing Club. With picture perfect Noosa weather and a huge turnout of around 23 boats, the first two races of the eight race series were a huge success.
To understand the strength of any sporting club, the first place to look is the grassroots, as this is the window into the future. Noosa Yacht and Rowing Club is bursting with young sailing talent, with current and future national champions.
This club is a perfect example of what can be achieved with a strong focus on the next generation of young athletes. We are incredibly proud and grateful to be able to help the club continue its amazing work with young sailors. The club runs after school sailing clinics most days during school term, catering to all levels, from beginners who’ve never set foot in a boat to experienced dinghy sailors sharpening their skills in the high performance squad.
OCE Giveback – LIVIN
We are extremely Proud to present our June OCE Giveback recipients ‘LIVIN’. LIVIN exists to create a future where suicide is no longer the number one killer of young Australians.
1 in 5 people will experience a mental illness each year. Many suffer in silence due to the stigma and lack of education around mental health. LIVIN is helping change this by equipping young Australians with essential education, bolstering their mental health and resilience.
Through advocacy and community engagement, they raise vital awareness and funding to ensure their life-empowering programs can reach and engage as many Australians as possible.
They educate, motivate and advocate!
The Big Freeze Fundraiser
The Gympie Cats recently got behind the Big Freeze Fundraiser – joining communities across Australia in raising vital funds for Motor Neurone Disease research.
The event gave locals two ways to get involved; donating directly to the cause, or nominating someone to take on a “big freeze” for a bit of good natured fun in the name of a serious cause. Among those who showed up for the day were our very own Tash and Garreth, who threw themselves into the spirit of the event.
Tash went above and beyond, raising an incredible $1000+ for MND! A brilliant result that reflects just how generous and community-minded our team can be when we get behind something that matters. MND is a devastating disease that affects the nerves controlling movement, and events like the Big Freeze play a huge role in funding research, raising awareness, and supporting those living with it.
A big congratulations and thank you to Tash for her efforts, and to our very own Offaly Civil team members who donated, nominated, or turned up to support the cause. It’s a great reminder of the impact we can have when we come together for something bigger than ourselves.
Gympie Wishlist Giving Day
Bilko and Jade from Zinc 96.1 hit the streets of Gympie for a live broadcast to raise funds for the Gympie Wishlist Giving Day.
During their tour, they stopped by our Gympie office, where Tash joined them on air and proudly presented a $500 donation to support the cause.
It was the first stand-alone Gympie Wishlist Giving Day, and the community response was incredible. Local businesses came together to raise more than $30,000, with all proceeds going directly to Gympie Hospital.
OCE Giveback -Pine Rivers Koala Care
Pine Rivers Koala Care is a volunteer run organisation based in the Moreton Bay and North Brisbane region that rescues, rehabilitates and protects koalas and other native wildlife.
We had an amazing morning of Koala spotting and Koala Education with Lynn from Pine Rivers Koala Care. We met Lynn at a park in Strathpine that is planted and weeded by their association, providing a safe habitat for koalas to live, breed and rehabilitate.
The Australian Government sadly classified koalas as an endangered species in February 2022, so we are proud to help as much as we can.
They rely on donations to help continue rescuing the local koalas and other wildlife when sick, injured or in danger. Offaly Civil’s $500 donation will go towards educational days, equipment for catching injured koalas and supporting the volunteers at the Pine Rivers Koala Centre.
If you would like to donate, please head to their website below.
